Join us in this poignant Cold War era display. Visitors will see up close that the message of freedom and the cost of obtaining it is consistently told at the Miracle of America Museum. Freedom is both precious and fragile as you will learn. At times it’s been hard fought as men and women have paid the ultimate sacrifice so all of America can live free today.
This display highlights some of the historical blessings of freedom and specifically the brutality of communism. Berlin’s West sector was free. The Eastern sector was controlled by the Communists.
Watch Gil share his own experience from his military service in Berlin in 1963, hear how chunks of the notorious Berlin Wall arrived at the museum.
